The Need

There is a need in the Tri-Cities for people to serve the homeless, the addict, the inmates/parolees, the lost and broken, and in general anyone who is in need to love, acceptance, and to be cared for.

The biggest need right now is for like minded people to come together to work towards filling those needs. We need people who are willing to serve at a soup kitchen, people to hand our clothing, people to pray and minister to all those in need of a healing touch.

In the future there will be the need of a small building to server a meal out of. A small building to pass out clothing. A small building to gather in for ministry and prayer. A small building for a praise and worship experience geared towards those who will attend.

For now, the need is for people to step forward who can see the vision that God has planted on the hearts of His people. People to gather together to share the vision with others. People to fill all roles, such as feeding, clothing, praying, ministering and evangelizing.

The Vision

When I turned my will over to God in 2006 one of the things that was placed on my heart was helping those who struggled with addiction. As a natural outgrowth of helping those with addictions a burden was also placed on my heart for the lost, helpless and homeless. It has been on my heart since early on in my ministry to found a outreach to the addict, the homeless and the biker. With God’s help I know that the vision will come to pass.

I don’t know how it will start. I do know they’re are people to be fed and people who need love for their pain, hurts and suffering. They need the unconditional love of Jesus and they need to know that they are worthwhile and of use to God and others.

I am currently looking for like minded people in the Tri-Cities who would like to help feed those in need. Those who feel led and want to share their experiences and love with the lost and hurting.  If you have an interest please leave a comment and let’s start a dialog on how we can help others realize the benefit of our common goals.

Steps to Freedom is a Christian 12 Step group located in the Tri-Cities, Washington. We meet on a weekly basis and share our experiences through a sharing community.
